Entre la promoción de la autonomía y la reproducción de la subordinación : las tensiones en la intervención en la problemática de la violencia hacia las mujeres : análisis de casos en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, 2005-2015
Abstract
The efforts of women's movements and feminists to eradicate violence against women have made great strides since their inception to arrive at today’s government commitments to the issue. This thesis compares and analyzes four intervention strategies implemented at the AMBA between 2005 and 2015. It seeks to understand and analyze the practices and speeches of the people in charge and whether their implementation of the intervention promote human rights and social justice or the familialism model, where they propagate situations of women subordination. Furthermore, it seeks to understand and analyzewhat obstacles and limitations were encountered while taking care for women in the institutions where they work. The analysis of these unique experiences is helpful to clarify and understand in greater depth issues related to public policies aimed at promoting a violence-free life for women, as well as to identify key aspects to be considered when articulation with grassroots women’s organizations experienced in the subject.
