El objeto de estudio de esta tesis está onstituido por las prácticas comunicacionales de la organización de migrantes denominada Bloque de Trajadorxs Migrantes (BTM) que desarrolla sus actividades en AMBA, desde su creación en 2017 hasta los primeros meses de 2020 (previo al inicio de la pandemia por COVID-19 en nuestro país). Entendemos aquí a las prácticas comunicacionales como aquellas actividades de comunicación pública e interpelación de “otres” que realiza el BTM. En ellas se materializan aspectos de culturas políticas específicas, es decir, un conjunto de operaciones discursivas, recursos de inteligibilidad, marcos interpretativos y afectivos a través de los cuales se produce sentido sobre el activismo mismo, la relación con el Estado, los modos posibles de participación y acción, los límites de lo colectivo, entre otras cuestiones. Ello implica conocer la (re)configuración de las demandas y las formas en que se construye discursivamente a sí misma la organización y, a su vez, a sus “otres” en el contexto de disputas específicas. Nos interesa, entonces, analizar las prácticas comunicacionales de la organización mencionada como formas de politización de la cuestión migrante en un momento específico de la historia de nuestro país, caracterizado por un cambio del tratamiento estatal hacia esta población. La tesis se encuadra en un enfoque comunicacional caracterizado por Aníbal Ford, en el marco de los estudios culturales latinoamericanos, como un campo cuyo carácter típicamente trasdisciplinario deriva de la necesidad de enmarcar el estudio de los fenómenos comunicacionales en una teoría de la cultura (Ford, 1994). De esta manera, propone una suerte de “protodescripción densa” (Ford, op. cit., v. Geertz, 1974) para los estudios que focalizan el conjunto comunicación y cultura, y desde allí entendemos que los fenómenos comunicacionales no pueden separarse analíticamente del contexto sincrónico y diacrónico, histórico y estructural, ni de sus condiciones de producción específicas. Entonces, desde los estudios de la comunicación y la cultura, se propone un tipo de enfoque metodológico cualitativo, que permitirá analizar las diversas prácticas comunicacionales, en tanto dimensión significante que nos permitirá visibilizar aspectos de las culturas políticas en el periodo estudiado. A su vez, el uso de este enfoque permite la posibilidad de realizar interpretaciones de forma densa (Geertz; 1987). Conforman el corpus las publicaciones que realiza el BTM en sus redes sociales, específicamente en Facebook, en su doble modalidad: en su perfil y en articulación con la campaña Migrar no es delito. También realizamos entrevistas semi-estructuradas a sus principales referentes y participamos observando intervenciones situadas en el espacio público del Bloque de Trajadorxs Migrantes. La investigación y análisis de las formas de mediatización en conjunto con el análisis de las actividades e interacciones de les miembros del BTM nos permitirá identificar aspectos de las culturas políticas contemporáneas, los modos en que construyen sentido sobre su lucha y sobre el mundo. This thesis addresses the ways in which the political cultures of migrant groups interact in the formation of a space for political coordination. The object of study of this thesis is constituted by the communication practices of the migrant organization called Bloque de Trajadorxs Migrantes (BTM) that develops its activities in AMBA, since its creation in 2017 until the first months of 2020 (prior to the start of the pandemic by COVID-19 in our country). Here we understand communication practices as those activities of public communication and questioning of “others” carried out by the BTM. In them, aspects of specific political cultures materialize, that is, a set of discursive operations, intelligibility resources, interpretive and affective frameworks through which sense is produced about activism itself, the relationship with the State, the possible ways of participation and action, the limits of the collective, among other issues. This implies knowing the (re) configuration of demands and the ways in which the organization discursively constructs itself and, in turn, its “others” in the context of specific disputes. We are interested, then, in analyzing the communication practices of the aforementioned organization as forms of politicization of the migrant issue at a specific moment in the history of our country, characterized by a change in state treatment of this population. The thesis is framed within a communicational approach characterized by Aníbal Ford, within the framework of Latin American cultural studies, as a field whose typically transdisciplinary character derives from the need to frame the study of communicational phenomena in a theory of culture (Ford, 1994). In this way, he proposes a kind of "thick protodescription" (Ford, op. cit., v. Geertz, 1974) for studies that focus on communication and culture as a whole, and from there we understand that communication phenomena cannot be analytically separated from the synchronic and diachronic, historical and structural context, nor its specific production conditions. Then, from the studies of communication and culture, a type of qualitative methodological approach is proposed, which will allow analyzing the various communication practices, as a significant dimension that will allow us to make visible aspects of political cultures in the period studied. In turn, the use of this approach allows the possibility of making interpretations in a dense way (Geertz; 1987). The corpus is made up of the publications made by the BTM on its social networks, specifically on Facebook, in its double modality: in its profile and in coordination with the Migrar no es delito (Migration is not a crime) campaign. We also conducted semi-structured interviews with their main referents and participated by observing interventions located in the public space of the Bloque de Trabajadorxs Migrantes (Migrant Workers Block). The investigation and analysis of the forms of mediatization together with the analysis of the activities and interactions of the members of the BTM will allow us to identify aspects of contemporary political cultures, the ways in which they make sense of their struggle and of the world.
