En particular, llevamos a cabo un estudio “en producción” (Verón, 1998) de las primeras temporadas de las series Medialuna y las noches mágicas (2012), Amigos (2013), La asombrosa excursión de Zamba (2010) y Vuelta por el universo (2013). La investigación estudia, también, el funcionamiento de las actividades lúdicas y didácticas presentes en la plataforma web del canal televisivo con el objetivo de relevar las representaciones que los mencionados programas configuran sobre las infancias y los juegos contemporáneos. En un contexto en el cual el mercado es el principal productor de la subjetividad de niños y niñas (Steinberg y Kincheloe, 2000 [1997]; Bustelo, 2007) y en el que, como consecuencia de la escasa oferta televisiva de productos infantiles en las señales de aire, las audiencias infantiles se desplazan a las señales privadas (Fuenzalida, 2007), Pakapaka emerge como una propuesta política y pedagógica que apunta a la formación de “niños ciudadanos”; también tiene como iniciativa contribuir al fortalecimiento del derecho a la comunicación, de la información y de la libertad de expresión en la infancia, la cual, lejos de ser percibida como homogénea, es entendida como una cultura en la que conviven múltiples contrastes.
