The objective of this paper is to study the origin of the corporatist scheme in the Latin-American region, comparing four cases, to understand the way in which Latin- merican regimes that adopted this system, developed different social and agriculture politics in the sector of rural workers, nevertheless their coincidences, among which, their ideological animosities to the liberal model. In this context, we try to understand why some of those politics lasted longer and were deeper in some countries and failed to do so in others. We took as central focus, the role of rural oligarchies and rural workers movements, with the objective to outline hypotheses that take us to rebuild the plot that will lead us to the mentioned phenomenon.
