En particular, en relación al “Operativo Independencia”, que tuvo lugar a partir de febrero de 1975, así como también sobre las diferentes cuestiones vinculadas a los noventa días previos al golpe de Estado de 1976, entre el ultimátum del entonces general Jorge Rafael Videla al gobierno de María Estela (Isabel) Martínez de Perón y el golpe del 24 de marzo de 1976. El análisis tendrá en cuenta los editoriales que cuenten el escenario de violencia política desde febrero de 1975, los meses previos a la llamada “cuenta regresiva”, los 90 días previos al golpe de Estado y el primer mes del gobierno de facto en el poder. El análisis se realiza con herramientas teóricas del análisis del discurso que permiten dar cuenta de las construcciones de sentido del matutino durante esos meses tan convulsionados de la historia argentina, evidenciando el punto de vista del diario de mayor tirada en la provincia.
