An account of the resource
La presente investigación procura describir los diferentes modos en que fue construida la figura del conjunto musical Los Beatles durante un cierto período. Para ello, se han seleccionado una serie de publicaciones de la prensa gráfica argentina correspondiente al año 1964.
Mediante una aproximación anclada en la semiótica, el análisis de carácter diacrónico da cuenta, en definitiva, de cómo se gestó en nuestro país la identidad de este grupo de rock, medular en la historia del lenguaje musical, a partir de un conjunto de discursos aparecidos en diarios y revistas. Se busca rastrear aquí las operaciones significantes desplegadas, y cómo se estab lecieron sistemas conceptuales que intervinieron en la construcción de “lo real” acerca del conjunto. Se atiende fundamentalmente a procedimientos de orden icónico y simbólico en la configuración del cuarteto que delinean diferentes estrategias enunciativas. De acuerdo con ciertos objetivos específicos, se incluyen además consideraciones sobre el fenómeno de la Beatlemanía y el primer largometraje del grupo.
