Así, en primer lugar, analiza el discurso del hacerse las tetas y luego reflexiona sobre el lugar que ocupan las tetas dentro de la militancia Argentina para comprender cómo estas han llegado a ser símbolo político. Luego, boceta las posibles posturas del feminismo frente al implante mamario con fines estéticos, a partir de una articulación entre un análisis discursivo de diferentes teorías y los testimonios de jóvenes que se identifican como feministas y se han realizado la cirugía. De esta manera, se postulan dos posturas: la del feminismo neoliberal, donde el hacerse las tetas es comprendido como un acto de empoderamiento, y la del feminismo socialista, donde el acto es entendido como una reafirmación de las normas que disciplinan y oprimen los cuerpos de las mujeres. Understanding the #NiUnaMenos march as the beginning of a feminism popularization process in Argentina, this work looks into the act of getting ‘a boob job’ from the feminist perspective, within the framework of local activism. Thus, firstly, it analyzes the discourse of getting ‘a boob job’ and then reflects on the role that boobs occupy within Argentinian feminism in order to comprehend how they have become a political symbol. Thereon, it outlines the possible stances of feminism on breast implants with aesthetic purposes, by means of an articulation between a discourse analysis of separate theories and the testimonies of young women who identify as feminists and have undergone the aforementioned surgery. In this manner, two approaches are put forward: neoliberal feminism which considers getting ‘a boob job’ as an act of empowerment, and socialist feminism, which understands the act as a reaffirmation of the standards that discipline and oppress women’s bodies.
