Se trata del territorio de la Comunidad indígena del pueblo Kolla Tinkunaku (CIPKT), ex finca San Andrés, una extensión aproximadamente de 130.000 hectáreas ubicadas en el departamento de Orán, en el noreste salteño. Durante mucho tiempo estos hombres y mujeres Kollas debieron enfrentar a la oligarquía azucarera -primero-, a una multinacional norteamericana -después- y al Estado, para poder vivir plenamente en su territorio. Este libro intenta contribuir humildemente a la persistencia de la memoria de esa lucha heroica.
