Esta investigación toma como objeto de análisis el suplemento del matutino del diario: La Nación Revista. Allí se concentra la llamada “parte blanda”, que condensa una diversidad de temas relacionados con la vida cotidiana, familiar y cultural de los lectores, en contraste con la “parte dura” del cuerpo principal, donde se despliegan mayoritariamente contenidos de política, economía y justicia. En esta tesis y desde una perspectiva socio-histórica, nuestro objetivo es dar cuenta de qué manera La Nación Revista cumplió un rol de intermediario cultural en el período analizado, desde su lanzamiento en 1969 hasta el 2014, año en que por primera vez se realizó un cambio conceptual del lector al que la revista se dirigía. Con una metodología cualitativa, analizamos en diferentes fascículos de distintos años de la revista los mensajes, las ilustraciones y las representaciones sociales que transmitió para su público. Para potenciar y robustecer la investigación, triangulamos la información proveniente de las revistas con otras fuentes de distinta naturaleza: informes institucionales, trabajos científicos, artículos de prensa y entrevistas a informantes claves de La Nación S.A. Describimos de qué modo LNR propuso a sus lectores una forma de socialización, un habitus de clase, de valores liberales que fueron cambiando a lo largo del tiempo. Es decir, nos interesamos en los sentidos que fueron adquiriendo estos valores, desde lo que definimos en sus inicios como un “liberalismo conservador”, pasando por una etapa de “transición”, hacia lo que denominamos en el siglo XXI como “liberalismo hedonista”. En esta transformación, fueron variando los significados de las cuatro categorías que definen para nosotros a cada uno de los habitus de clase analizados: el modelo de sociedad general, el modelo de sociabilidad, el modelo de familia y el modelo de identificación. The newspaper La Nación is one of the most important media in Argentina. This research takes as an object of analysis the daily supplement of the newspaper: La Nación Revista. There is concentrated the so-called "soft part", which condenses a diversity of issues related to the daily, family and cultural life of the readers, in contrast to the "hard part" of the main body, where they mostly deploy content of politics, economy and justice. In this thesis and from a socio-historical perspective, our objective is to explain how La Nación Revista fulfilled a cultural intermediary role in the analyzed period, from its launch in 1969 until 2014, year in which for the first time a conceptual change was made to the reader to whom the journal was directed. With a qualitative methodology, we analyzed in different fascicles of different years of the magazine the messages, the illustrations and the social representations that he transmitted for his audience. To strengthen the research, we triangulate the information coming from the journals with other sources of different nature: institutional reports, scientific works, press articles and interviews with key informants from La Nación S.A. We describe how it proposed to its readers a form of socialization, a habitus of class, of liberal values that were changing over time. That is, we are interested in the senses that were acquiring these values, from what we defined in its beginnings as a "conservative liberalism", going through a stage of "transition", towards what we call in the XXI century as "hedonistic liberalism". In this transformation, the meanings of the four categories that define for us each of the analyzed liberalisms were changing: the general society model, the sociability model, the family model and the identification model.
