Abstract

This work proposes a reading of the work of Nicolás Casullo from a political theoretical approach. In particular, we´ll work on one of the topics on which N. Casullo has become more profusely concentrated throughout what we identify as the last stage of his intellectual trajectory: populism. In this sense, the work presents a series of elements present in N. Casullo´s text on populism that are plausible to be linked to problems and authors of political theory, namely: the political and sovereignty in Carl Schmitt; the agonist democracy of Chantal Mouffe and the populist theory of Ernesto Laclau. In this way, it will be seen than an approach to N. Casullo´s work on populism from political theory not only is it plausible to be carried out, but it also constitutes a contribution for reflection on Latin American populist experiences and, particularly, on Peronism in Argentina.
