Abstract
In this research are described the life trajectory of travestis and transgender people with drug abuse problems that live in Buenos Aires City. The focus of attention is on the way they use drugs, everyday exchanges, and multiple violence. Secondly, in drugs treatments and health checks.
It is put special emphasis on the ignorance of the Gender Identity Law as a violation of their human rights and in the lack of public policies development.
It was utilized a qualitative methodology with an ethnographic approach. It was made a twoyear fieldwork in a variety of social and institutional spaces where travestis and transgender people usually frequent. In those places it was done participant observations as well as open interviews.
