Abstract
The thesis analyzes the "new" programs of psychosocial, educational and labor intervention that articulate secondary terminality with vocational training (TyFP). For many young people and adults, programs represent the only possibility to reduce distance in educational terms and the main strategy of orientation towards the world of work. We ask about the role of programs that articulate Youth and Adult Education and Vocational Training.
Its general objective is to analyze the "new" programs of psychosocial, educational and labor intervention that combine TyFP, examining the extent to which they influence the configuration of a social and labor subjectivity, and in the later trajectory of the subjects. The specific objectives are: 1) To analyze and compare two institutions that combine TyFP for young people and adults, according to their objectives, their conceptions regarding the world of work, the vision on the problems of the population they attend, and the institutional articulation between TyFP , among other; 2) to characterize and conceptualize the social experience of young people and adults as they go through the TyFP programs about school and work; 3) to know the previous and subsequent trajectories of young people and adults, and to typify the incidence of the programs in view of the construction of subjectivity and the way in which the transmission of "institutional social capital" in social and labor integration; 4) characterize the "new institutionalities" linking EDJA and job training.
Depending on the state of the issue and the proposed conceptual framework, the working hypotheses that guided this thesis were: the general hypothesis is that the "new" psychosocial, educational and labor intervention programs construct institutional and pedagogical practices that constitute "new institutionalities" that inciden the subjectivity and the subsequent trajectory of the subjects. The specific hypotheses are: 1) the new institutions are developed in the tension between inclusive objectives and an intensification of social inequality; 2) the new programs of TyFP contribute to the configuration of a social and labor subjectivity of young people and adults; 3) the transmission of "institutional social capital" constitutes an element that extends the possibilities of insertion of the subjects in their later trajectory; 4) the link between EDJA and FP contributes to promote "new institutionalities" in the articulation of education and work.
The empirical information comes from a qualitative and biographical research that reconstructs the educational, labor and social trajectory of 36 young men and adult males and females who graduated or are ready to do so at the same time in 2015 and 2016 of two TyFP programs in the area north and west of the Conurbano Bonaerense of the province of Buenos Aires. On the other hand, the institutions taken as programs: analysis of educational and labor practices, and the configuration of new institutionalities. We are interested in understanding ¿how young people and adults building trajectory educational and work paths? ¿How to approach the perceptions or senses of the subjects with respect to the world that surrounds them, of their institutions?
Among the main findings obtained in the research are:
a) The empirical analysis shows that facing the challenge of social integration today, it is not enough for the efforts of isolated institutions to develop innovative interventions to guarantee the access of young people and adults to education and work, without the support of a homogenous and articulated network that develops strategies of follow-up and permanent accompaniment to young people and adults.
b) With respect to the new institutionalities of the programs of TyFP, it is concluded that in many cases the tension between inclusive objectives and an intensification of social inequality is so strong and difficult to overcome that it fails to change inequality. In the institutional dimension, we note the generation of new pedagogical practices and training for work that exceed the usual action of Secondary Education Centers and Vocational Training Centers. The above mentioned difference is verified in the institutionalization of pedagogical-didactic resources and management procedures that promotes "new" practices of psychosocial, educational and labor intervention in the formulation and implementation of the pedagogical and formative project proposed in both institutions.
c) The study of the educational and labor trajectories of young people and adults allowed to construct a typology of educational and labor trajectories that not only constitute particular histories, but their histories account of the avatars of many young people and adults of the conurbano. In these itineraries institutions play an important role in the intertwining of past, present and future because it affects the generation of a new habitus and modifies previous social experience. The empirical material evidences that in the half of the cases in the passage through the programs the subjects achieve greater autonomy and a social experience that incide in the inclusion and the development of the logics of integration, strategic and subjectivation.
This thesis tries to contribute to the study within the field of education and sociology.
